New Thinking Blogger Award!

I have been thoughtfully awarded the unique Thinking Blogger Award!

Kowtowing, kowtowing…!

This award was presented to me by Zephyr. Zephyr is a remarkable person of personable character and Spirit; with a blog about an important environmental issue, the Climate of Our Future.

Foremost; Thank You Zephyr, blogger of Climate of Our Future for “thinking of me as a thinking blogger” and selecting me as one of the 5 Blogs 'That Make You Think'! Second, I am sincerely appreciative to the creator of this award, Ilker Yoldas whose “aim at The Thinking Blog is to “offer content that is interesting, informative and could really help.” In the constant vast growing www, this ‘apple polishing’ award provides the opportunity to meet and find other Thinkers!

The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).

* First, the below list is in no specific order. Second, my Friends and your notable blogs – you know who you are - where you stand in my heart and admiration, therefore; I know you support me in introducing 5 additional admirable bloggers.

Therefore; with further excitement, I proudly present the 5 Blogs 'That Make Me Think' and bestow on them the Thinking Blogger Award

1. Mr. Positively's Website

Author of “What's On The Other Side Of The Rainbow? (The Secret Of The Golden Mirror)"

The Slogan Of our Company Harmony Soup Inc. is, "EVERY CHILD DESERVES A TASTE OF HARMONY SOUP". “We at Harmony Soup INC feel that we have a responsibility to consciously participate in helping to create a safe and harmonious world for all children, and all mankind. We hope to do our part by planting a seed with a book written by Carla Jo Masterson.”

“What's On The Other Side Of The Rainbow? (The Secret Of The Golden Mirror)"

Amazon.com Book Description:

As I sat down to write this, my thoughts were of how I could speak to the world, picturing the entire world as being one child. Although our situations may be different, we all feel from the same place, from within our heart and emotions. Therefore, it is important for our children to understand that the feelings and emotions they experience are always meant for constructive reasons, instead of the destructive ones we sometimes feel.
With love and understanding, and with all of us working together, hand in hand, we can create a safe and harmonious place on our beautiful home we call Earth.

My deepest wish is that someday all violence will end with one great big "HUSH!"

2. on the black hand side

celebrating, entertaining and educating about Black life by VANESSA - Fiscal management professional, freelance writer, poet and activist.

3. disassociated.com

It is a scratch pad where I can feature and review topics of interest to me, including, but not limited to, current affairs, information technology, web design and standards, new websites and projects, music, movies, events, photography, arts, (and a little sport) and cultural and fashion trends.

The {SubSet} culture
Do we really have a clearly identifiable and definable culture?
Or do we just like “doing stuff”?
Is doing whatever we do in a day, working, relaxing, dining, seeing movies, sports games, surfing the net, blogging even, or watching TV worthy of the label “culture”?
Actually I’m not really here to try and answer such a question but rather offer comment and opinion on what I do see around me. Calling it as I see it. It’s a big job but someone has to do it!

4. Carnival of Good Stuff

The Carnival of Good Stuff is a blog carnival that showcases blogs featuring personal stories of courage and hope and warmth and poignancy ... stories that move and inspire us. In short, all the good stuff that makes our lives and the lives of everyone around us better.

5. Journey with Water Learner
Let the shimmering waters be the calm reflective mirror. To see my hopes and fears. In doing so, set my vision right.

Tag I'm it! 8 Random Facts about Me

What a pleasant surprise to have read this on MyBlogLog Messages:

zephyr1
15th Jun 1:12 pm

You my friend have been tagged. Go to my blog and see what it's all about.

Sure enough, there at Climate of Our Future was zephyr1’s post and rules about a fun tag game called 8 Random Facts meme! First, thank you ever so kindly - zephyr1 for choosing me as one of the 8 to be tagged! Second:

1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
3. People who are tagged need to write in their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Meme!:

1. I’ve written over 5,000 poems and aspire to publish them one day. Currently, I am also writing 8 different books - at one time.

2. All my posts have a purpose, however; often I will not direct Readers toward such – I prefer to let each Reader construe for themselves, thus respecting their individualism.

3. As a child, I actually was bitten on the hand by a real monkey that was being walked down the street - on a leash by its’ owner. Nonetheless; I simply adore monkeys, real or replicated.

4. I once wanted to be a Nun and it’s not to late!

5. People are my passion. I always welcome e-mails and enjoy getting to know each persons’ unique characteristics that make up the totality of themselves as an individual in Society.

6. The violin is my musical instrument of preference.

7. I adamantly believe that racial prejudice is ignorance - when we all bleed the same color blood. Hence, I say: have ye who are prejudice slit thou own wrists first; if your blood be red as all human beings - than either bleed to death or shut up.

8. I like frogs! Not only because FROG stands for Fully Rely On God, but also because I think frogs are cute!

* First, the list is in no specific order. Second, my Friends and your notable blogs – you know who you are - where you stand in my heart and admiration, therefore; I know you support me in introducing 8 admirable bloggers I recently found on the WWW:

YouYou!:

1. The Way of A Pilgrim

“I am MLH, and I first met the Pilgrim (I promised him, no names!) about five years ago, and from the first I was captivated. The details aren’t important, perhaps I will tell it some time, but not now. My back was to him when he slipped into the room, and I felt — well, I’m not sure what. Electricity? It as like the air was suddenly charged, a change in the emotional climate, perhaps. Anyway, I turned and he was there.”

2. Young Black Professional Guide

“The Young Black Professional Guide to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. YBP Guide is a forum of multiple perspectives and advice to support the many challenges that Young Black Professionals face. Our mission is to empower Young Black Professionals with the knowledge and inspiration to foster progression and productivity.”

3. Cose mai scritte prima English Translation: Things never written before

"I hope that my messages of love and hope will make something special for all!"

Binding Ink Opinion: Beautiful and touching poetry. Be prepared to be truly moved beyond the realm of emotions by his poems.

4. a painter's kitchen

“Recusant Karina publishes A Painter's Kitchen [art. words. life.] and the recipe blog [Gluten-Free] Goddess. She shares her New Mexico home and studio with her husband, Steve Allrich, a screenwriter and alleged painter.”

5. Letting me be . . . random wondering and philosophy

“Storytelling that brings back memories”

6. Get Lifted, Inspired, Motivated, Involved and have Fun

His posts speak merits that he has a big heart and a good head on his shoulders!

7. WRITING FOR THE HELL OF IT~

“So, I decided, I haven't created that masterpiece quite yet, maybe I will just write for the hell of it and see what comes of it. This will be multi-faceted, as such are my inclinations towards words...”

8. We Make the Difference

“Change the world...one person at a time. We Make the Difference This blog is about being the change you want to see in the world. Tips, advice, interviews, ideas, and much more.”

On ignorance and prejudice, that's the thing: it's not only ugly and mean spirited but so very stupid. It's one of those things in life I wouldn't believe could exist, but there it is... Kind of like the Bush administration I guess - speaking of monkeys... how we ended up with one in the Oval Office is beyond me. Is that the one that bit you? I think he bit us all.

OK, I'll stop now...

Thank you for reiterating some peoples mean spirited stupidity in re to bigotry. In re to your Bush comments, roll on floor laughing my hairless monkey butt off! Some one give Paul a banana and Bush another pretzel! Ooops, I think my pretzel remark may have sounded a little to Dixie Chicks– lol! Thank you again Paul!
